I am\u00a0<strong>Richard Turner<\/strong>\u2019s nephew and I have the honor of being the company&#8217;s first employee starting way back in\u00a0<strong>1991<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">I started working alongside my uncle when I was in the 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0grade\u00a0<em>(I walked to the shop from school)<\/em>,\u00a0I literally grew up in the shop,\u00a0so I am very familiar with the slings and the total quality that is expected and deserved from you, our customer!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">After almost 40 years of making the \u201c<strong>Turner Sling<\/strong>\u201d, my uncle has finally decided to retire. I didn\u2019t want to see someone buy his company and not continue producing the quality products that he has worked so hard to offer all these years, so here we are.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">Even though\u00a0I wasn\u2019t at the helm so to speak,\u00a0I would like to apologize for\u00a0delays throughout the last few years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">*These were out of my uncle\u2019s control due to situations like COVID, supply chain issues, raw material shortages, etc., but that is all in the past.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">I have been fortunate enough, after moving the company from Alabama to North Carolina in June, to eliminate most of the supply chain issues that have impeded shipping.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">I have also added 10 new employees and we are currently training and working to produce the high-quality products we are known for.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\"><strong>It\u2019s still my family name that goes on everything we make and sell and I take pride in that.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">I have secured 5 years\u2019 worth of the materials needed to produce our slings in an effort to prevent future delays due to supply chain breakdowns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">The changes will not be overnight, I am working 15-hour days 6 days a week to fulfill a substantial backlog of outstanding orders stretching back the last 4 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\"><strong>I hope some of you have noticed the increased production we have already achieved in the last few weeks.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">Orders are being filled as fast as I can physically get leather cut and as the new supplies arrive. Our slings are still\u00a0<em>cut by hand one at a time<\/em>\u00a0and are truly \u201c<strong>handmade<\/strong>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">We are working hard to have our products on the shelf and ready to ship the next day by the end of the year. We are also working with suppliers to be able to bring back some of our more popular products like the\u00a0<strong>M1907<\/strong>\u2019s, Cheek pads, and the Black leather slings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">If you currently have an order in-house, those orders will still be honored at the price promised when the order was placed. There may be a slight difference in the total of the order and this is due to the taxes we are required to collect in NC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">If you have an order in-house, I will send you an invoice by email with a direct link to pay once we have the order packed and ready for shipment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\"><strong>None of the orders taken previously were charged<\/strong>, we have never taken payment for an order until it was completed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">In order to maintain the safety of our customers\u00a0<strong>no credit card information was transferred with the sale of the business<\/strong>, so I am unable to process payments without sending out the invoices, I\u2019m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">I want to thank you for your patience as they have navigated through the last few years and I look forward to rebuilding your trust in our products for years to come.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\"><strong>If you have any questions, please feel free to call me, our number hasn\u2019t changed, 205-680-9377 and I will be more than happy to talk to you.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">If any of the shipping information on your order has changed, please advise me so I can get that corrected in our system before we ship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #eeeeee; background-color: #784c2d;\">Lastly, I know that a lot of you have been waiting a really long time to have your order completed.
